At a rare White House media briefing, Trump spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders trotted out an old Trump saw, which he used frequently on the campaign trail: that precisely because Trump is a creature of the system, he’s the person who best knows how to fix it. (That still doesn’t answer the question: why were these folks still employed 2 years into his Presidency?)
