Trump’s Talked For A While About Extrajudicial Solution To Surge Of Migrants At Border
With firing of Homeland Security Secretary, he moves toward maybe making it happen
Update: How’s this for extrajudicial? Trump, at an informal media op in Texas says:
“But our military, don’t forget, can’t act like a military would act. ’Cause if they got a little rough, everybody would go crazy. So our military can’t act like they would normally act. Or, let’s say another military from another country would act.”
In other words, “too bad we can’t just shoot people”.
Here’s a clip from NBC News’ Twitter feed (click on it to play video):
Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen abruptly resigned Sunday evening following a meeting with the President, and while we don’t know for sure, we don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to suspect it’s a forced registration. That comes just a couple of days after Trump withdrew the nomination of Ronald Vitiello to be the new head of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), saying “we’re going in a tougher direction”.
