Protests and action this weekend were great just because they happened, and happened big, and happened fast. At the same time, most of the protesting was on behalf of something many Trump voters don’t feel connected to. As a good friend of mine in Michigan points out: “There is still a half a nation out there, who quietly think this is a good thing.”

Keeping the protests going is important, but it’s not enough.

Gotta figure out a way to reach out, and reach out big, and reach out fast. Congress will never go against Trump unless a whole lot of people who voted for him do. (25%-50% maybe?) And engaging a whole lot of people who didn’t vote. Seeing too many posts saying things like protests prove “mid-terms will go bad for him” and “4 year Presidency at most” and “Of course he’ll be impeached.” No he won’t. Not unless someone figures out a highly effective way to reach out to people in places like Pennsylvania, and Ohio, and Michigan, and Wisconsin, and Florida, to start. And fast! Ideas?
