Quick Update To Our Story Earlier This Week “Why Are Republicans Having So Much Trouble Passing An Immigration Bill?”
The so-called “compromise” bill (so-called because it was a compromise between Republicans and Republicans so not really a compromise) went down in flames in the House.
The final tally: 121–301. And we will again point out (since the President keeps exclusively blaming Democrats for the failure of these bills he’s been supporting) that there are only 193 Democrats in the House. That means 108 Republicans — very close to half of all Republicans in the House — voted against it.
