I see what you’re saying, and I agree to some extent. In fact, in a previous piece I wrote:

“If a prosecutor decides there is not enough evidence to indict someone, they don’t then have to publicly piece together the evidence they do have to prove it’s inadequate.”

At the same time, we’re talking about probably the most important public figure in the free world right now, and in that context I think it’s entirely appropriate to hold him to a higher standard than you or me would be. (or virtually anyone else).
